IV Therapy — Why Your Supplements Aren't Enough

IV Therapy — Why Your Supplements Aren't Enough

Oral supplements are limited by gut absorption. IV therapy delivers nutrients directly to your cells at 100% bioavailability.

You take your supplements every morning. A multivitamin, maybe some vitamin D, magnesium, fish oil. You’re doing the right thing — except your body is absorbing maybe 20–40% of what you swallow. The rest is broken down in your stomach acid, partially absorbed through your intestinal lining, processed through first-pass liver metabolism, and excreted before it ever reaches the cells that need it.

This isn’t a failure of the supplements. It’s a limitation of the delivery method. Your gut has a maximum absorption capacity for each nutrient, and it’s significantly lower than what your cells can actually use.

IV therapy eliminates this bottleneck entirely.

The Bioavailability Advantage

When nutrients are delivered intravenously, they bypass the entire gastrointestinal tract. There’s no stomach acid degradation, no intestinal absorption variability, no first-pass hepatic metabolism. The nutrients enter your bloodstream directly, at the full therapeutic dose, and are immediately available to every cell in your body.

This matters most in three situations: when you’re correcting a documented deficiency (and oral supplementation isn’t moving the needle fast enough), when you need pharmacological doses that can’t be achieved orally (like high-dose vitamin C at 25+ grams), and when your GI tract is compromised (inflammation, malabsorption, post-surgical, or concurrent medications that impair absorption).

It also matters for optimization. If your goal is to support mitochondrial function, immune readiness, athletic recovery, or cellular detoxification — IV delivery gets more of the active compound to the target tissue, faster.

Our IV Menu at Longitude Life

We don’t use generic drip formulations pulled from a catalog. Our IV protocols are designed by our clinical team and tailored to specific outcomes. Every drip uses pharmaceutical-grade ingredients.

The Longitude Drip (Signature)Our comprehensive wellness and recovery drip. High-dose vitamin C, full B-complex (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12, folate), magnesium, zinc, selenium, and a glutathione push. This is the foundation drip — covering antioxidant defense, energy production, immune support, and detoxification in one session. 60–90 minutes.

NAD+ InfusionNicotinamide adenine dinucleotide at therapeutic doses (250mg–500mg). NAD+ is the central coenzyme in cellular energy metabolism, DNA repair, and sirtuin activation. Levels decline roughly 50% between age 40 and 60. IV delivery is the most bioavailable method available. Sessions run 2–4 hours (slow infusion required to minimize flushing and nausea). We offer loading protocols (4–6 sessions over 2 weeks) followed by monthly maintenance.

Myers’ Cocktail PlusThe classic IV formulation — originally developed by Dr. John Myers in the 1960s — enhanced with our clinical team’s modifications. Magnesium, calcium, B vitamins, and vitamin C. Effective for fatigue, migraines, fibromyalgia, and general wellness support. 45–60 minutes.

Immune FortressOur acute immune support drip. High-dose vitamin C (25g+), zinc, selenium, glutathione, and lysine. Designed for acute illness, post-exposure prophylaxis, or immune system fortification during high-risk periods. 60–90 minutes.

Athletic RecoveryAmino acid blend, magnesium, B-complex, taurine, and carnitine. Built for post-training or competition recovery. Reduces muscle soreness, accelerates tissue repair, and restores electrolyte balance. 45–60 minutes.

Glutathione PushThe master antioxidant delivered as a 10-minute IV push. Can be added to any drip or administered standalone. Supports detoxification, reduces oxidative stress, and promotes skin health.

Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) TherapyMedical-grade hydrogen peroxide IV for oxygenation and antimicrobial support. Used in specific clinical contexts under direct provider supervision.

How IV Therapy Fits Into Your Membership

Longitude Protocol members ($899/month) receive one IV session per week — any item from our full menu — included in their membership. That’s up to 4 drips per month at no additional cost. Additional sessions are available at member pricing.

Precision Protocol members ($499/month) access IV therapy at menu pricing, with their $200 monthly medication credit applicable toward treatment costs.

Non-members can access IV therapy at standalone pricing. Member pricing applies to all active protocol participants.

The Difference Between Us and an IV Bar

IV bars are popping up in every city. They offer a pleasant environment, a limited menu, and a nurse who starts your line. What they don’t offer is clinical context.

At Longitude Life, your IV therapy is prescribed based on your lab results. If your magnesium RBC is low, we know. If your vitamin D is suboptimal, we’re correcting it with data, not guessing. If you’re on a pharmaceutical protocol that increases hepatic load (rapamycin, metformin, NAD+), we’re supporting your liver with targeted nutrient repletion.

Your drips aren’t random. They’re part of your RESTORE protocol — informed by your DECODE diagnostics and tracked through your SUSTAIN reassessment cycles.

That’s the difference between IV therapy as a luxury experience and IV therapy as precision medicine.
